Still having the problem
Camera and Sound Card Don´t work. I tried it in Linux Mint, Arch Linux and Debian and still nothing
OS: Elementary OS Loki, based on ubuntu 16.04, witch is based on debian.
I'M gona try an external USB soundcard, and i hope it will works.

WAITING FOR THE SOLUTION!!, but, something happen.
4 mouths ago, y uninstalled the Intel WDM driver, and install a REALTEK DRIVER. AND THE SOUND WORKS, but an update reinstall the old drivers and stops working. I'm working in it, but I AM NOT the developer who's working in this bug. My PC IS AN HP X2 10 DECHETABLE PC, red, with a 500GB HDD in the keyboard, and 32GB in the internal memory of the tablet. And, i can't boot to the ADVANCED BIOS, only the simple and boring bios config, witch don't have any options like hardware or chispest or something.
HELP

I never got any sound out of it so far, but for the record, With Manjaro Linux and kernel 4.14 and 4.15, the sound card is recognized along with its HDMI outputs.

Although I haven't plugged anything on the HDMI port, from my readings I expect that it should work.

However the internal speakers still don't, so I expect something from kernel 4.16 or 4.17 ;-)

I just installed Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and kernel 4.12, it gives me the best results so far:

- Internal audio: no sound, detected as bytcht-nocodec 1 ouput/1 input
- HDMI audio: works fine, tested with chrome and rhythmbox
- HDMI video: works fine
- Touchscreen: simple touch only, for example: on web pages can scroll, but on text editors select text instead of scroll
- Card Reader: not mounted automatically on startup, unless lock session and session restarts, sd mounts automatically, sometimes gives error, but still mounts
- Battery icon: works fine
- Bluethooth: seems to work fine, detects devices
- Lock button: not working
- Start button: not working
- up/down volume: not working
- wifi: some times get stuck, but in general works great
- camera: tried webcamoid, but doesn't start. Cheese says device not found.

What? you got audio working in HDMI?
is there any way to fool ubuntu to think that the hdmi is connected and derive the sound to the speakers?
and i will try with Ubuntu 18.04

This is the usual Ubuntu way of fixing bug : Let the bug report cool down for 3 years or so (this one is date 2016-03-24), then ask the reporters to perform some more tests with the latest versions, just in case. Hopefully the user will have trashed his now-old computer meanwhile.

This also explains why I don't use Ubuntu anymore (and thus won't test). But I still receive the e-mails about bugs I opened or subscribed to 3 years ago. And I laugh.

For what it's worth: An easy solution for audio is a bluetooth headset. Works great under 18.04. I'd also like to get the main speakers working, but I suspect the passengers next to me on the plane are happier with the headset-only arrangement.

Thanks for the tip, but I use the machine mainly at home and would find internal speakers much more convenient. On a different thread, there's talk of downloading UCM files to fix this (specifically UCM-master/bytcr5645 and chtrt5645), but no details of where from. Perhaps it's obvious to Ubuntu pros, but not to me. Any idea?

In case anyone is searching the web to seek solutions, I'll put on the record that 4.20.4, with the patch as generated above, along with the UCM files that have been posted on git at https://github.com/heikomat/linux/tree/cx2072x/cx2072x_fixes_and_manual/chtcx2072x - sound is now functioning on my Asus Transformer Mini T103HA.

Shouldn't really matter as I am using an updated but otherwise vanilla kernel from ftp.kernel.org, but again, for the record, this is under Slackware Current (live ISO from alienBob 1.3.0.2, 20190117).

Thanks all. I hope these efforts can be merged into mainline Linux and ALSA, but I'm sure there are reasons above my head as to why they have not."

Big thanks to Heiko Mathes, Pierre Louis, Takashi Iwai and Pierre Bossart.
