As the pink and blue jack at rear panel have been retested for output jacks (channel mode 6ch)' you can not select rear mic as input source.

Did your computer chassis have a hda front audio panel ?

This may be a bug in module_switch_on_available_port

Yes. My computer has a hda front audio panel but it seems not working properly because when I plug in it, the volume control does not detect mic device.

Thanks for your reply.

Please run the following command in the terminal and select Front Mic as the input, then try the mic in the front jack again:

I found a solution.
1 - Edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
2 - add at the end of file the following:

options snd-hda-intel model=asus-mode4
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

3 - save and reboot
4 - open gnome-sound-record and try to save your voide.

this works for me. Only for Realtek ALC662.

thanks for all.
