Bug Description

This is happening on Intrepid running on a HP nc6220. Normally when I have let's say 50% volume, then hit the mute button, the sound is muted. When I hit the mute button again, sound level returns to 50%. But if I hit mute while having 50% volume, hibernate/suspend, then resume, and then hit the mute button again, I get 0% sound level, even though it should un-mute and return to 50% volume.

Can you please check whether the behaviour is the same when you reboot instead of hibernate/resume?
If yes, it sounds like a duplicate of bug 345975.

The suspend/resume bug is fixed for me since Jaunty, but I also have bug 345975.
