The script is not provided by Ubuntu and is thus not supported. Reading it, it's also not meant for your situation: ie, using FF3 instead of FF2. I've converted this to a question (support request). Please continue over there if you have more information or wait for an answer. I don't use Adobe Flash, though, so I've never bothered trying to install it on my 64bit system.
