Sorry, I did not mean that we may want to modify the translation, I am perfectly fine with correct form, I was investigating crash reason. The program handles non-ascii characters perfectly, I use a Polish translation everyday, which uses tons of such chars, I remeber that Russian language worked good too.
I am also wondering why 'ascii' codec is in use for your locale. I'll check whether gettext is initialised properly for the About dialog.
What are the LANG (etc.) environmental variables set to on your system (when starting the viewer)? I would like to reproduce this bug on my machine to investigate it further.
