It's a manpower issue, especially now that TB is largely maintained by the volunteer community, i.e. volunteers like you and me...

(As for myself, I think I can count myself among TB's elders, but I'm more on the UX and bug triaging side than on the developing side, and usually not on IRC - use private email instead)
