Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunar

There's two mounted and two unmounted removable filesystems in this screenshot. Would you have been able to tell them apart at a glimpse?

Please make the two icons more distinct.

Hmm, I was going to report this upstream for Tango, but then I realized that it might be Thunar doing this. Could you check whether this also happens with other icon themes? And preferably report it to Thunar directly ( http://bugzilla.xfce.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Thunar&format=guided ) if so, and if not to Tango ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=tango ). Thanks.

Indeed, Thunar is doing this. AFAIK, there isn't any spec concerning mounted/unmounted volumes display, so you can't really rely on different icons. That's why it has been decided to display umounted volumes with a more transparent icon.

Should be fixed in natty: instead of a more transparent icon, mounted filesystems have an eject icon on the right side.
