Hmm, I was going to report this upstream for Tango, but then I realized that it might be Thunar doing this. Could you check whether this also happens with other icon themes? And preferably report it to Thunar directly ( http://bugzilla.xfce.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Thunar&format=guided ) if so, and if not to Tango ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=tango ).
