Thank you all. Now that you have confirmed that this is a true bug/deficiency please could you tell me:

1) If it will be fixed - if so when and in which version.

2) In the meantime is there a workaround I could use? In my specific case I have three SNAP commands in a SNAP. Let's call them A, B and C. It is command A that sets up the network namespace and A will ALWAYS be run before any instances of B or C. Given that is there any magic I can do in B and C to get that network namespace properly mounted in in /run/netns?
