For Firefox there's a ppa [1].
For Chromium, there's the Linuxmint repo [2].
I switched to using Linuxmint repo for both and purged snapd. 0 regrets.

If Canonical decides to put more into snap then this workaround may not be sufficient. We'll have to see what happens in 24.04...
