I'm seeing the "cannot create user data directory" error when my $HOME is an ordinary home directory in /home/DOMAIN/, where we're using AD for authentication, and DOMAIN is the AD domain being used. (Of course, the actual ~/snap/kubectl/677 directory is created at some point.)
Does /home/DOMAIN/ need to be added to @{HOMEDIRS}, or is this another unsupported configuration?
This is all on a vanilla Ubuntu 18.10 (cosmic) desktop install.
