I think the install Puredyne entry is normal, as ubiquity will give you the same apps as the live system, so it will also replicate itself.
Another lead: When making the new live system, I encountered a problem with the user creation, namely the fact that the live user was not created at boot time (lintian should be created on the fly, the ISO itself has no hardcoded users). So I ended up writing hook that manually add lintian.
So maybe ubiquity hits the same bug as live-initramfs that prevent the on-the-fly user creation, and you end up just with lintian that I harcoded into the system?
