This is most noticeable when you compare the appearance of an application launcher with panflute-applet's impersonation of one when the player isn't running.
Music Applet jumped through some ugly hoops to mimic the launcher style button, whereas panflute-applet currently uses more conventional button behavior. I'll look into how tough it will be to replicate the old behavior without resorting to C code.
