We are convinced that our solution is the best one for the OpenERP product. Our goal is to build the best product ever, even if it's against some's ideas or willingness not to change. So, we will not merge Akretion's proposal in OpenERP, but I would be happy to offer a pack of belgian beer to Akretion for their contribution to the issue. (they will get it the 3st of July)
In order to move forward, I think it's better to concentrate community's efforts on testing Olivier's branch before merging it into the stable.
All arguments have been listened and understood (from all sides) so if you want to convince us that we missed something, please provide a real scenario that show our implementation is not good.
If you are ready to contribute:
- We need you to test the Olivier's branch to check that there are no bugs,
- We need you to code review Olivier's branch to improve it's quality or propose enhancements,
- We need you to adapt the documentation to the new model.
Stefan,
I appreciate your willingness to contribute.
