Comment 36 for bug 1166765

Dear All,
I'm new to ubuntu.
I've been trying to install nvidia drivers and cuda to use gpu for machine learning.
I tried different versions, once lost the desktop (had a blank screen) and restored it.

Now, icons went missing...
I've been trying whatever but nothing works....

I've got an asus n550j with two graphic cards.
My gpu is a geforce 750m
ubuntu 14.04

solution from comment 34 didn't work (by the way in extensions i have only libglx.so)

Other workarounds? Update to 14.10?
