Comment 1 for bug 742650

The previously committed fix doesn't fully fix the issue. The rpc callback programming interface apparently has changed with TopicAdapterConsumer. I've associated another branch with a fix.

In the long run, we should move this to using the manager pattern so we aren't calling this relatively low level interface.
