Comment 11 for bug 214786

I have had the same problem with the Italian Apple keyboard connected to a Macbook laptop: "|\" key (above Tab) swapped with "<>" (right of shift).
This is solved in gnome by switching on "Swap keycodes of two keys when Mac keyboards are misdetected by kernel", but in that case it is the keyboard on the laptop that does not work correctly. Is there a way to avoid switching the option on and off whenever I change from one keyboard to the other?
