2017-10-15 11:38:42 Alexey Kachalov description After upgrading to LM 18.2 Cinnamon 64-bit with LightDM (and some more upgrades of modules) I got crashes once in a while. It happens while I'm working in Libre Office Writer. Computer doesn't respond during several seconds, only mouse is moving. Then all applications crash and window manager restarts. dmesg shows this: [23784.553486] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 9:0:0x86dffffd, in Xorg [1444], reason: Hang on render ring, action: reset [23784.553527] drm/i915: Resetting chip after gpu hang [23784.553594] [drm] RC6 on [23784.569225] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped [23804.504883] drm/i915: Resetting chip after gpu hang [23804.504975] [drm] RC6 on [23804.518993] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped [23816.472734] drm/i915: Resetting chip after gpu hang [23816.472826] [drm] RC6 on [23816.489000] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped [23818.786671] Telegram[2563]: segfault at 18 ip 00007f6b05420730 sp 00007ffe16b48038 error 4 in libxcb.so.1.1.0[7f6b05412000+21000] [23819.279993] Viber[2629]: segfault at 7ffcd0826ff8 ip 00007f3732371d8f sp 00007ffcd0827000 error 6 in libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5[7f373059d000+44b2000] It happend with 4.0.33 kernel, then I upgraded to the latest 4.0.37 kernel and it has repeated.
