Bug Description

After upgrading to LM 18.2 Cinnamon 64-bit with LightDM (and some more upgrades of modules) I got crashes once in a while.
It happens while I'm working in Libre Office Writer. Computer doesn't respond during several seconds, only mouse is moving. Then all applications crash and window manager restarts.

It happend with 4.10.0-33 kernel, then I upgraded to the latest 4.10.0-37 kernel and it has repeated.

dmesg shows this:

I can't repeat it at the moment when I want, but it repeats approximately after an hour of using Libre Office Writer.

I got another case a couple of minutes ago.

I've experienced the same issue -- hang while editing using Libre Office Writer.

From dmesg:
[ 8821.754306] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 9:0:0x86dffffd, in Xorg [1506], reason: Hang on render ring, action: reset
[ 8821.754346] drm/i915: Resetting chip after gpu hang
[ 8821.754439] [drm] RC6 on
[ 8821.770976] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped

I can provide a copy of my sys/class/drm/card0/error if that helps.
