Same problem on LM16 64bit Cinnamon edition. Everything has been working fine since initial install some months ago. As of yesterday, I am no longer able to write to ANY usb drive, whether it be NTFS of VFAT. I can from terminal as the regular user or with sudo privileges. Tried a few things from the forum but can't seem to get it repaired. Would hate to have to do a reinstall over something this simple...
Granted, its nice to know I can copy or rsync in terminal, but what about new(er) users who don't know how to use the terminal?
