I can confirm this problem in Linux Mint 17.1 with Kernel 3.13.0-24-generic.
It has nothing to do with mount options or permissions or such, because - as mentioned before - everything works fine on the command line. But nemo doesn't let me write on the stick. Deleting works fine, though.
