Comment 5 for bug 1208678

Update on the issue: the branch linked here from Georgy has all the necessary code, it only need to be tested.
We are in the process of migrating linaro-image-tools over to git, and would like to merge as much code as possible.

Did anybody try the code? I do not have a handy example to try, otherwise I could do it.
