Comment 11 for bug 774700

I just looked and I have libcanberra-alsa.so in /usr/lib. I don't know which package installed the libs, but you should be able to get sound working by installing "libcanberra0" and "libcanberra-gtk0" . If that doesn't work, try installing the respective dev packages and let me know if that works.
