When a bug is accidentally reported on a product rather than a distribution package, or vice versa, it should be possible to retarget the errant "Affects" line to the appropriate software. Currently you can retarget a bug from one product to another, and from one distribution package to another. But you can't retarget it from a product to a distribution, or a distribution to a product. (The next best thing is to mark the original target as "Rejected", which is cluttersome and a little misleading.)
It may make sense to fix this bug at the same time as bug 50894 and bug 59389. This is the retargeting equivalent of bug 1334.
