John, 'bzr lp-serve' is almost exactly the same thing as 'bzr serve'. The difference is that we set up the smart server to have our virtual file system.

The process that spawns these bzr processes is also an SFTP server. This might explain the high memory usage.

I'd be more than happy to talk about ways to get better logging.
