Many feed consumers are going to strip out CSS anyway (e.g. universal feed parser), so while those consumers don't display the CSS as text they don't benefit from it either. Try viewing the feed in Firefox for instance.

It'd probably be better to ignore CSS and use pre-CSS element attributes to add any styling that you feel is necessary.
