Maybe we don't have anything except the Archive on blogs. For all the other tools (Calendar, Wiki, Files), then I think the portals will work well. For files, things can be uploaded and then moved into folders, so the Recent items won't necessarily be reflected in chronological list. I'm OK will not having the portal on the Overview, but then what are we going to put there? We'll have a lot of white space on the Overview page...
