As far as I can tell now, this should be fixable in the selector tool. I've been working on this for about a week now, but I'm not even halfway there (life's been busy). Besides it will require quite some testing because it involves some significant changes in the calculation of the transformations and introduces compensation for the stroke width. Maybe within a few weeks I'll commit a patch aiming to fix this, but by then we will probably be too late for the 0.46 release. Ah, well, too bad...
