yeah i think a warning while Bug #171390 is still not resolved would be the best course of action for the time being.. and even after.. since unknown file extensions are bound to be tried by oblivious users (such as myself).. you can always support 21 image filetypes, and someone is going to want to try to save in filetype #22..
