Comment 1 for bug 443196

I'm getting this too on Ubuntu 9.10 beta. Right-clicking on the applet and selecting About displays a dialog box containing the text "indicator-applet-session 0.1". Checking Synaptic Package Manager shows that the installed version is 0.2.0-0ubuntu1
