Problem with two sided printing using HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676551

Status in HP Linux Imaging and Printing: New
Bug description:
I have tried to print with the two-sided printing enabled (either long-edge or
short-edge) but the printer always prints on separate pages. The option that
specifies how many sides to use (under the Job options menu in the printer
options) even though it allows to change the setting to the two sided printing,
it actually reverts the value to one-sided as soon as you press the Apply
button. As a result I have never achieved to print two-sided with this printer.
The distribution I'm using is Ubuntu 10.10 (under windows the two-sided printing
is fine).
From any application I have the same problem. I have even tried printing from
inside HPLIP GUI and the result is the same...
