Sorry about that. I wonder why LP doesn't enforce the appropriate etiquette :-(
Regarding these tiny bugs, I think the best approach is to make sure they get marked as bitesize. By assigning them to me, I may end up becoming a bottleneck. That is, other people willing to contribute may not jump on the bug because they see it assigned already. Does that make sense? I'll continue contributing as much as possible.
