using xkill on it does nothing, however using it to kill chrome or steam specifically removes the artifact. My laptop and PC and are both just on integrated intel graphics, both i965. The laptop is running an old celeron while I'm on a new pentium. My laptop is running default repos drivers while my PC is on the Intel graphics installer repo.
