The demos here: http://ejohn.org/blog/processingjs/ work smoothly on Firefox in Windows (run on a Windows XP inside a VMWare on top of Ubuntu 8.04).
In Ubuntu 8.04, Firefox 3 spikes to processor to almost 100% and the movement it jerky.
Furthermore, when running in Firefox in a virtualized Windows on top of Ubuntu, it uses half the CPU resources compared to Firefox running directly in Ubuntu..!
