I get the same APIC-Errors on all 4 CPU-Cores, though I haven't noticed any hangups, yet.
OS: Ubuntu 9.04 (x86, 32bit)
Kernel: 2.6.28-15-generic
Chipset: AMD 790GX
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) 9350e Quad-Core Processor
Graphics: Onboard Radeon HD 3300 with fglrx (Using the driver from the Ubuntu repositories.)
