" *Requirements. EqualX needs a TeX system to generate equations -
specifically the programs *pdflatex*, *gs* and *pdftocairo*.
For Windows the recommended TeX distribution is MiKTeX <http://miktex.org/>.
On Windows you may also require Visual C++ Redistributable
<http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679#>. Install
this only if you get an error complaining about missing *MSVCR110.dll*,
otherwise you don't need it.
On Linux, the binary packages should install all requirements
automatically. "
However, it is not so.
when I install equalx from your ppa in kubuntu, it does not install the
required programs *pdflatex*, *gs* and *pdftocairo*.
As I wrote in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339244, it needs the
package *texlive-base *in order to function properly*. *It should be added
as
a note to your site to avoid confusion.
