Some users are seeing an error message when they try to update their Dell Mini 10v: E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.24-22-lpia_2.6.24-22.45netbook9_lpia.deb: files list file for package `libxcb-shape0' is missing final newline

This appears to either be an error with Dell's method of installing the images as has been seen in the past or an error with the package listed in the error.

It seems that it's a relatively simple fix, io just removed the file /var/lib/dpkg/info/libxcb-shape0.list and then you can force it to reinstall with apt-get --reinstall install libxcb-shape0

This should really be fixed as I bought this netbook for my sister as an xmas present and the fact it was broken from start is a pretty big problem IMO.
