Although openoffice still has not come up with a built-in grammar checker, the grammar checker LanguageTool -0.8.9, which is already available as an openoffice-plugin
is now quite mature and it already has a relative stable openoffice integration interface.
I believe we should immediately package LanguageTool and enter it to at least the universal section of the Gutsy repository, or preferably the main section and be installed by default whenever openoffice.org is installed, so that people can check their grammar *immediately*. This would place both Ubuntu and openoffice.org itself well ahead.
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
