Comment 16 for bug 452350

I got the problem when I upgraded from Lucid to Precise (beta, a few days before release).

When I start the computer Grub seems to run but do not show up. If I continueusly pressing enter the system is booting anyway. If I run "sudo update-grub" I'm getting the error messages described above.
I can't tell if it is two aspects of the same problem or two different.
