Thank you for investigating this issue. I've now attached the full log of the following steps:
- open file browser (Nemo)
- drag and drop "Downloads" folder onto dock and let it import contents
- click on Downloads folder in dock
- open Cairo settings
- add Bin applet
- click on Bin applet in dock
