I don't have a /var/crash file, so apport fails when attempting to
create that file (as my user doesn't have permission to do so). Was
there anything supposed to create that file with the correct mode so
that my user has the rights to write to it?

That asks me for my Launchpad password and then fails with

bzr: ERROR: Invalid url supplied to transport: "https://salgado%40canonical.com:...@xmlrpc.launchpad.net/bazaar/": nonnumeric port
