in oneiric, etckeeper is broken because of bzr:

/etc/cron.daily/etckeeper:
bzr: failed to report crash using apport:
     AssertionError()
bzr: ERROR: exceptions.UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc4 in position 34: ordinal not in range(128)
