About says Gnome-terminal 3.6.2.

Amazingly, it is working great right now! I don't remember ever being able to easily copy text from the terminal on this machine. Absolutely no idea what could be different, though I did install a huge batch of updates recently. Maybe the former cause got fixed?

If it comes back I'll explore and let you know!
