Bug Description
The new tiff and tiff3 packages in Debian (tiff is currently in main) add JBIG support, using jbigkit. This is apparently because patents have expired (http://
Availability: In quantal universe for amd64 and i386 (others are waiting to build).
Rationale: New dependency of tiff, see above.
Security: My searches haven't turned up any historical vulnerabilities. The upstream maintainer (http://
QA: No configuration. No open bugs in Debian or Ubuntu. Debian maintainer is active and interested in having this work well in Ubuntu (judging by his questions on #ubuntu-devel today). Includes a test suite, run during build. Includes a debian/watch file.
Dependencies: All in main.
Standards compliance: Seems to be a simple modern library package, using dh. Looks sensible to me.
Maintenance: We can probably just keep this synced.
