Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-via

As reported at http://www.openchrome.org/trac/ticket/91 the Via unichrome DRI code in Ubuntu Feisty currently misplaces the OpenGL window somehow. This results in heavy screen corruption and makes OpenGL applications unusuable. See the screenshots at the openchrome tracker.

The patch at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9965 (Comment #9) mostly fixes the problem if applied to Feisty's libgl1-mesa-dri package. glxgears and Google Earth work for me again (Via Epia M10000 w/ CLE266).

If you have the hardware, you can test my patched-up packages. I've uploaded them to http://greg.geekmind.org/DRI/

Would be nice to have this patch integrated into Feisty before release. :)

I've taken the patch from the upstream bug, but it doesn't seem to be committed upstream yet.
