Bug Description

As of 2011-10-12, The dash is not cleared/reset when I choose the application I was searching for. When I open the dash to do something else, the previous text is being searched. I must clear the text myself, then start a new search.

I've undupped this one because the solution to the "need to clear the text" is simply to select the text by default which has been done in trunk, the other bug addresses some other issues with the new behaviour as well though
