Whoopie, adding to the current ppp package would be an even better solution. In fact there is no need for a new package, guess I did some thing wrong when opening tis bug.

I built a native ppp package with your patches in my testing PPA.

I had to fix the EAP-TLS patch to work if EAP-TLS is disabled. I've already sent this patch "upstream".

Could you maybe do the same with your patches like fix-missing-ssl-op-no-ticket.patch and add-chap-passwd-hook.patch?

Upstream package is no longer maintained. See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=589632 for details.

Project page http://ppp.samba.org/cgi-bin/ppp-bugs show last activity in 2009.

Is there are any change we get eaptls support in Ubuntu like it done in other distros already (like Fedora) ?
