Bug Description

Binary package hint: lxsession

It would be nice to add a lock screen option to the logout windows when a screensaver with the capability is running, like calling "xscreensaver-command -lock" when xscreensaver is running.

Julien, what is stopping us to do such an easy thing?

[Desktop Entry]
Name=ScreenLock
Comment=Lock your screen
Icon=system-lock-screen
Exec=xscreensaver-command -lock
Type=Application
Categories=Settings

That is all what does it really take to add "Lock Screen" as an entry in the main menu :)

I think this says it all. Please guys, can someone do this once and for all?
This is VERY much easy.

Goal: Menu > Preferences > Lock Screen

HOWTO:
1- The path is: /usr/share/applications
2- The file is: lubuntu-screenlock.desktop
3- All what need to be done is:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=ScreenLock
Comment=Lock your screen
Icon=system-lock-screen
Exec=xscreensaver-command -lock
NoDisplay=false
Type=Application
Categories=Settings;DesktopSettings

I'm really sorry, I wish I could do this and include it on the next release (13.04) but I'm not a developer and have no idea how to do it :(

Kindly add this to your to-do list for the next release. It's been 2 years and 2 months.

Thanks a lot!
