Hitting ESC when typing a message should clear the message

Hello I think this is not a bug, this should be include in the wishlist Status

Wishlist it is. Marking triaged and waiting for upstream comment about this if they think its something that they should do.

Related branch (lp:~nicholas-j-campbell/gwibber/esc) implements this behavour except Ctrl+Z - this is separate issue - bug 357834 ([wishlist] Add support for undo/redo keyboard shortcuts)

Sorry for coming in a little late on this, but it's really horrible having the input clear on escape. I push escape a lot (a habit I picked up from using Vim a lot) and I don't ever want it to clear the input field. There are a great many other Linux users with this habit too I'm sure.

It is also just weird behavior. Where did this idea come from that esc should clear the field?

Please, please make escape do nothing in the input field!

I also think this is weird behavior. I filed bug 819618.
