Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
I installed Xubuntu 8.04, installed all upgrades to bring it up-to-date. I then ran 'update-manager -d' to upgrade to Lucid. After the upgrade comleted and the system is restarted, all notifications still appear in the lower right corner of the screen and are a dark yellow text on light background.
Further, although notify-osd upgraded correctly, notification-daemon is still installed.
$ apt-cache policy notify-osd
